‘Het Wereldcollege’ gives first-class education:
1. YOU ARE IMPORTANT.
The teacher is interested in who you are and will create an atmosphere you will feel comfortable in. This will improve your learning.
2. INTERACTION WITH OTHER STUDENTS IS IMPORTANT.
There is room to become acquainted with your fellow-students. This supports a trusted surrounding which improves learning. Additionally, interactions in Dutch are very important to learn the language.
3. INTERESTING AND DIVERSE EXERCISES WILL HELP YOU IN MASTER THE DUTCH LANGUAGE.
That’s why ‘Het Wereldcollege’ uses modern text-books with supportive computer-exercises. Additionally, you will be challenged to bring your skills into practice in various interactive games. Every 6 weeks, a practical case is on the agenda. In this you and your fellow-students can, for example, visit a train-station or a company to do real-life exercises.
4. THE STRUCTURE IS CLEAR IN A SMALL SCHOOL.
You as a student will know the total program at first start. The schedule is well-ordered including your assigned homework per course-day.
To understand the structure of the course will help you in your connection with the course and motivation. All with the intention to help you in mastering the Dutch language.
5. ANGELIQUE BROERSEN EN CLAUDINE LAAN ARE THE FOUNDERS AND EXECUTIVES OF ‘HET WERELDCOLLEGE’.
Angelique has many years of experience in education and integration in particular. Teaching others is her passion. Claudine is an experienced HR-consultant. Also she is experienced in guiding people finding suitable jobs. They are both gecertificeerd ONA-begeleider
Start
Often a course-institute lets you start right away after your application. This seems okay but results in disturbance and lack of clarity. In case students step-in or step-out every few weeks, too much different levels are gathered in a single group. This would result in minimal instruction-time per level. The frequent group-changes would make this even worse and trigger a restless atmosphere.
That’s why ‘Het Wereldcollege’ does things differently. We think it is important to get to know you, bond a team together with the fellow-students and create a good atmosphere in your group. That’s why ‘Het Wereldcollege’ has chosen to start a new group three times a year. Starting January, April and September.
